🌱 1. Sowing & Germination

Sow seeds indoors in April to May, 2–3 weeks before the last frost. Plant seeds about 2 cm deep in moist seed-starting mix at 22–28°C. Germination takes 4–8 days.

🌞 2. Seedling Stage

Once seedlings have 2–3 true leaves, transplant into larger pots. Provide full light and maintain steady watering. Harden off for 5–7 days before transplanting outdoors or into a greenhouse.

Transplant outdoors or into a greenhouse in late May to early June, when night temperatures stay above 10–12°C. Space plants 30–40 cm apart and allow support for vertical growth (especially in greenhouse).

💧 4. Growing & Care

Cucumbers require full sun and consistent watering. Avoid watering leaves to reduce risk of mildew. Use compost-rich, well-drained soil. Feed every 2 weeks with nitrogen-rich fertilizer early on, then switch to potassium-rich formula as flowering begins.

🥒 5. Fruiting & Harvest

Harvest begins 50–65 days after transplanting, typically from June through September. Pick cucumbers regularly when they are firm, dark green, and 15–25 cm long depending on preference. Frequent harvesting encourages more fruit.
